The product consists of standard software applications for front-, mid-, and back offices for pension and life insurance policy administration. The back office applications are the most distinctive. Actuera offers clients a solution for applications and workflow management and is their partner in the transition programs.

The Maia Product Suite currently contains about 10 sub-products:

Kernels and modules

In the centre of the Maia product suite one can find the Transaction Processing kernels for collections-, policy- and disbursement-administration. Together with the Maia-Workflow and Services each client can compose its Straight Through Processing (STP) chain. The common modules, such as Maia CRS, are in general to be used by each kernel. The Domain modules are 'local' for a specific kernel.

  • Maia DB/DC (pension administration for hybrid defined benefit, defined contribution products);
  • Maia Collections (contribution collection and billing);
  • Maia Life (Universal-Life and Unit Linked, with special group-life insurance asset management functionalities). In 2011 Maia UL2 will be renamed Maia Life because we will implement new hybrid product-types, for the new PPI companies.  Maia UL2, together with Maia Workflow, also covers individual life insurance;
  • Maia Disbursements (pension payments with aggregation of N-payments for 1 person having several policies etc.);
  • Maia Workflow (process design, orchestration, chain-integration);
  • Maia Pension Planner (web-based with services to back-office calculations and data - 'Single Point Of Definition');
  • Maia Service Catalogue etc..

Maia Product Suite supports a process made up of the following steps:

  • Membership administration (entitlement, duration, level, provision, funding);
  • Pension planning, uniform pension statements, financial assessment framework (FTK), reporting schedules, analyses etc.;
  • Benefit administration (determination and payment).

The product types supported by Maia Product Suite are:

  • Defined benefit and defined contribution (also CDC);
  • Universal Life and Unit Linked;
  • Savings;
  • Hybrid and top-up combinations of these options.

Tailor-made business model

We offer our clients the Maia Product Suite in an ASP/SaaS concept (e.g. Heineken, Dutch Antilles Civil Service etc.).

Some of our ASP clients offer the Maia product to their clients where these clients themselves are:

  • Pension funds that may administrate their pension policy transactions;
  • Administration offices themselves offering their clients a virtual office etc..
